Composer Mahmoud Abuwarda Signs Publishing Agreements with Halidon Music

Palestinian composer Mahmoud Abuwarda has officially signed two major publishing agreements with the prominent Italian music publisher, Halidon Edizioni Musicali. This collaboration represents a significant milestone in expanding the global reach of Abuwarda’s contemporary classical works.

The primary agreement encompasses a deeply evocative collection of his recent solo piano compositions, specifically Nocturnes No. 1 through 5 (Last Day In Gaza, Stars Over the Sleeping City, Scorched Hunger, The One Who Believed, and Nocturne Tanguero).

In a notable addition to the catalog, a separate agreement was finalized for Nocturne No. 6: “Nothing or Something”. This ambitious piece, intricately scored for choir, piano, and violin, was co-composed in direct collaboration with the internationally acclaimed Italian pianist Alberto Nones.

Through this partnership, Halidon Music—a powerhouse in the distribution of classical and contemporary music—will exclusively administer, distribute, and promote these works worldwide. The compositions will soon be available across all major digital streaming platforms and as official sheet music releases through Halidon’s extensive global network.
