Mahmoud Abuwarda is a Palestinian composer and classical guitarist known for seamlessly blending traditional Arabic music with Western classical music. Born in Gaza, his evocative compositions ranging from symphonic works to intimate solo piano pieces explore profound themes of memory, displacement, and hope.

Recent Highlights

Mahmoud’s international presence continues to expand. He recently won the prestigious JERUS-IT-ARTS International Contest, celebrating cross-cultural dialogue through music.  Academically, he has been invited as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Oklahoma’s School of Music (USA) to share his expertise in bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions.

In a major step toward wider global distribution, Mahmoud has officially signed publishing agreements with the prominent Italian publisher Halidon Edizioni Musicali. This partnership encompasses his recent collection of solo piano Nocturnes and a special collaborative work with acclaimed pianist Alberto Nones, ensuring his contemporary classical catalog reaches international audiences through major streaming platforms and official sheet music releases.
