Upcoming UK Concert to Feature Music by Mahmoud Abuwarda in Solidarity with Gaza

We’re pleased to share news of an upcoming concert in the UK that will include the performance of Last Solo by Palestinian composer Mahmoud Abuwarda. The recital, led by guitarist Noah Layzell, will take place on Friday, 15 August 2025, at the United Reformed Church on Homewood Road in St Albans, AL1 4BH.

This special evening of music is presented in solidarity with the people of Gaza and is dedicated to raising both awareness and support. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians, a UK-based charity providing essential healthcare and medical relief in Gaza and the wider region.

The program promises a moving and reflective experience, with “Last Solo” offering a particularly poignant voice from within Palestine’s artistic and cultural landscape. We are honored to see Mahmoud Abuwarda’s work performed in such a meaningful context
